SalaryThread (salarythread.com) is an anonymous Australian salary data site. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information.
Information we collect
Salary submissions. When you submit salary data through our form, we collect the information you provide: job title, industry, city, salary range, experience level, and any optional comments. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information (PII). Submissions are anonymous by design.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use SalaryThread. GA4 collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.
Advertising cookies. We may display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings.
How we use information
- To display anonymous salary data on the site
- To understand site usage and improve the experience (via GA4)
- To serve relevant advertisements (via Google AdSense)
We do not sell, trade, or share personal information with third parties. Because submissions are anonymous, we cannot identify or contact individual submitters.
Hosting and form processing
SalaryThread is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect server logs including IP addresses as part of standard web hosting. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
Salary submissions are processed through Netlify Forms. Submission data is stored by Netlify and accessed only by us for the purpose of adding anonymous salary data to the site.

SalaryThread uses the following types of cookies:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — used to collect anonymised usage statistics
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) — used to serve and measure advertisements
